Are you an experienced digital marketer with a passion for healthcare and medical education?

We now have a unique opportunity for an experienced, hands-on, multichannel marketer to join our team. 

Reporting to the Chief Engagement and Growth Officer, your primary goal will be to engage our global community of doctors, surgeons, dentists, nurses and other healthcare professionals through impactful and immersive content across a range of digital channels. You will also work closely with the Community and Clinical teams to develop high impact campaigns aligned with medical conferences and to amplify high quality medical education to doctors interested in developing their knowledge of global health, neuromuscular disorders, rare diseases, oncology and more. 

Your skills and experience:

You will have significant experience of copywriting, content creation, community management, brand awareness campaigns and organic growth. Tailoring content to niche audiences comes naturally to you, as does a test-and-learn approach to engagement. Throughout your career you have demonstrated meticulous attention to detail and a passion for delivering high quality, on-brand content. 

You will have experience mentoring and providing constructive feedback for less experienced team members, and will have a knack for helping them bring their best to the table.

Ideally, you will have knowledge of the healthcare and medical education sectors, and how this varies by country and region.

Key Responsibilities:

Member Engagement 

  • Ownership of MedShr member engagement channels including email newsletters, mobile app notifications, broadcast messages and on-platform messaging

  • Develop and implement targeted communications to MedShr members by role, geography and clinical specialty, with executional support from Community Executives

  • Review and provide constructive feedback on content created by other team members

  • Ensure high standards are maintained across all member engagement channels

  • Optimise against key metrics, including MAU, open rates, clickthroughs, post views, comments and user-generated content

 

Organic Growth and Brand Awareness

  • Develop implement and manage our social media strategy across Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, with executional support from Community Executives

  • Collaborate on development of content and campaigns for paid social

  • Plan, write and submit press releases in collaboration with the Clinical team, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Engagement and Growth Officer and CEO

  • Manage development of creative assets for paid media, including clear brief for digital graphic designer

  • Track best practice and monitor industry trends

  • Improve and monitor performance of all marketing channels 

  • Ensure brand and channel standards are maintained 

  • Optimise against key metrics, including followers, likes, RTs, mentions and clicks

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have significant hands-on experience with community management, brand awareness campaigns and organic growth

  • Demonstrate exceptional copywriting and content creation skills

  • Demonstrate stellar attention to detail 

  • Have impeccable grammar and spelling (including US vs. UK differences)

  • Be knowledgeable of current multichannel marketing trends and driven to explore new opportunities

  • Be digitally savvy, with ability to quickly develop mastery of new apps and platforms

  • Have a keen eye for design and ability to create or brief engaging content 

  • Be comfortable working within strict guidelines and deadlines

  • Be organized, adaptable and capable of effectively prioritizing workload

  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative

  • Have a professional manner and ability to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders 

  • Have knowledge of medical terminology or demonstrate the ability to learn it

  • Have experience in a health tech, tech start-up or med tech environment
